Drake 'not facing arrest' over Chris Brown bar brawl

The pair were alleged to have clashed at New York's W.i.P venue on Wednesday night, after a row about Brown's ex-girlfriend Rihanna spiralled out of control.

Turn Up The Music star Brown suffered a gash on his chin and three other people were injured, while the floor of the club was left covered in broken glass.

One report on the incident claimed police planned to arrest Drake on a charge of reckless endangerment, after a bystander told officers they had seen him throw a bottle during the fracas.

However, it has now emerged law enforcement authorities do not want to speak to either of the R&B artists.

A source told TMZ the police have 'no suspects, complaints or arrest warrants at this time'.

The Make Me Proud star had earlier denied any involvement in the punch-up.

A statement released by his publicist read: 'Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind at W.i.P.

'He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.'

Onlookers claimed the stars were not in the thick of the fighting, but that their entourages did trade blows.

After being named as the alleged cause of a fight between Chris Brown and Drake's entourages, you'd expected Rihanna to keep a low-profile.

But despite going out partying in the same city where the group's clashed, perhaps the singer had a change of heart as she tried to sneak out of a club incognito.

Admitting she was feeling 'drunk' on her Twitter page, the 24-year-old hid her face under a hoodie as she left Jay-Z's 40/40 club.

While partying at New York night club WIP, a massive fight broke out between Chris and Drake's entourages just before 4 a.m. this morning, as the last song was playing.

According to TMZ, Chris and Drake were hanging out in the VIP section when the Toronto rapper allegedly began pointing and yelling at the 23-year-old singer.

Brown yelled back, both entourages rushed in, shoving ensued, bottles went flying, and finally fists were thrown.

Five people required medical attention, including Brown who suffered a chin gash, his bodyguard whose head was injured, and an innocent Australian tourist named Hollie C who needed 16 stitches for her head wound.

WIP got just as beaten up and by the time the fight was through the Manhattan club's floor was littered with busted up tables, broken mirrors, and shattered lighting.

The Umbrella singer's famous ex was charged with assault and making criminal threats on her after leaving her bruised and bloody in a 2009 attack.

This morning, Drake's rep released a statement claiming rapper named Meek Mill was responsible for the brawl -- not him but, according to TMZ, Brown and his lawyer gave the New York Police Dept. detectives 'physical evidence' proving Drake's involvement.

Neither Brown nor Drake are official suspects in the club fight, but they have had a war of words since both being romantically attached to Rihanna.

The fight will further fuel rumours regarding the closeness of Rihanna to her ex Brown.

The on/off couple have been linked several times already this year, after it emerged that they had recorded songs together.

Earlier this week the two pop superstars partied at New York club Avenue at the same time for the second time in as many days, leaving within minutes of each other.

TMZ reported the pair were in the club together for around 30 minutes and Brown spent some time with the Rude Girl singer at her table.

Drake denies involvement in bar brawl as 'Chris Brown speaks to police'

As Chris Brown is reportedly questioned by police over his involvement in a New York City nightclub brawl over Rihanna, Drake has moved to deny 'any wrongdoing' in the fight that left Brown with a ghastly gash on his face.

The bruiser appeared to come off second best after the pair allegedly squared off in New York club W.i.P after an exchange of jibes about the S&M saucepot.
The Turn Up The Music singer was one of five people reportedly injured in the brawl, with his bodyguard being scalped and the pair splattering blood on the rapper’s SUV as they left the club.
But Drake's publicist has now come forward claiming he wasn't involved in the ruckus that took place on Wednesday night.

'Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P,' the statement said. 'He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.'
An onlooker in club has also told TMZ that the fight was more between the R&B stars' entourage rather than Brown and Drake themselves.
The source explained: 'Chris and Drake never got in each other's faces. It was entourage versus entourage, never Drake versus Chris.'

And it has now emerged that the Yeah 3x hitmaker has spoken to New York Police Department detective about the fight.

According to TMZ, Chris' lawyer has provided the police with 'physical evidence' proving Drake was involved in the fight though Drake too is said to be 'cooperating'.

It was claimed Brown was hit with a bottle after he unsuccessfully tried to extend an olive branch to Drake, who was linked to RiRi after Brown assaulted her in 2009.
His overture was sent back with interest, when the bottle returned with a note allegedly reading: ‘I’m f***ing the love of your life, deal with it.’
Brown, 23, was left seething after apparently being bottled in the mayhem. He tweeted pictures of his wound to his 10million followers as he hurled wildly about his foe.

The 23-year-old tweeted: ‘Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya! N****s in the bathroom b***h a** n****s’.
Meanwhile, an Australian tourist who was at the NYC club W.i.P when the fight broke out has recorded an emotional, and somewhat angry, video message.
The 24-year-old holidaymaker, named Hollie C, sustained bad cuts to her face by a glass bottle that was hurled across the club.

She was forced to spend the night in hospital where she had 16 stitches to her forehead before getting the train back to where she was staying the following morning.
Speaking in the video, she said: 'I've looked on the internet and realised that the reason why I have 16 stitches on my head and face is because of some stupid famous people having a fight over a girl.
'Where's the justice in them driving away in a limo while I had to catch the train home on one of my holidays?'
